Spring Printing with Recyclables

It seems we have skipped spring and are now in summer (it is so hot here!). 

We did this Spring flower printing with the different recyclables to see how it can make different flower impressions.

This is what we used:

The bottom of a 2 liter coke bottle, the bottom of a tennis ball container (but a 500ml plastic drink bottle will also make smaller blossoms), a compartment of an egg container, a toilet roll cut slits and bent back and a bigger type of card board roll cut in the same way.

We used a big paper from an old desk pad (also being green there).

First we made a few prints together. We talked about it, #languageskills, and I drew the leaves and stems etc for Lella.

Then Lella did some printing all by herself. We had the cousins over and they joined in the fun.

Cousin T turned the toilet roll around to make circles and that led to making fingerprints as the 

petals. Clever,hey? #messyplay # sensoryexperience

Here are the end results, the younger ones(3 & 4 years), did not really do as explained, but enjoyed the process (classic example of "the process is more important than the product").

They can even use this paper as gift wrap, will make it special for a grandma;)
