Handmade Gifts by Kids Series #2

This week I continue with the series by showing you how to make two different memo holders(could work for photos also).

Rock and Pipe cleaner Memo holder

What you need:
- a large-ish garden rock
- a pipe cleaner
- paint

What to do:
- decorate the rock with the paint any way you'd like. We painted the word "pa" (dad), because it was a gift for dad. (babies/ toddlers: let them roll the rock in paint, you can use more than one colour for an interesting effect)
- bend the pipe cleaner around the rock, making a spiral at the top so that the paper/photo can slide in
Easy Peasy!

Craft sticks Memo holder

What you need:
- 4 craft sticks(we used the doctor sticks as we call it, it is thicker than ice cream sticks)
- a mini peg
- paint and glue
- cardboard for the backing
- magnets (optional)

What to do:
- paint the sticks however you want, making patterns etc. (babies/toddlers can dip the sticks into the paint)
- when dry, glue them to each other in a square
- cut the cardboard so it fits at the back without being seen from the front. Glue the cardboard at the back for support
- glue the peg in the middle of the top stick
- if you are using magnets, glue them on the back of the sticks, to use on a fridge, file cabinet etc.
All done!

Have fun with these ideas!
