We love making our own ornaments for our Christmas tree. Every year we make a few, and I write the year at the back. It is so special to take it out at Christmas time each year and see, and remember the previous years. (I'm such a sentimental mom!) My kids are still small (3 and a half and almost 1), so our tree is going to get more full with the years to come. And I love it! Nothing matches, but each handmade ornament tells a story. ..
We are part of a great series called 20 Days of a Kid-Made Christmas: Ornaments.
This is our contribution to this series. Also check out Mum in the Mad House and The Craft Train to see the cute ornaments they made today!
Ornaments from Serviettes
What we used:
- take away cup lids
- serviettes
- glitter glue
- craft bells
- string
What we did:
Mommy had to help put the bells on the string and through the tiny hole at the bottom of the lids.
This was easy and fun to make. Recycling too! And it looks so pretty on our Christmas tree!
If you need more inspiration for your kids to make their own ornaments, go check out the 20 Days of Kid-Made Christmas: Ornaments Pinterest Board.
Have fun!
And Merry Christmas or like we say in our home language, Afrikaans: Geseende Kersfees!
