Playdough and Shapes

We just love playdough! (lovely #sensorymaterial). This is our #grapeplaydough we made about 2 weeks ago, and it is still good to play with as we keep it in a closed container, or mommy does in any case, try to remind Lella about it, but a 3 year old's selective memory,oi! (See the recipe on the 19/09)

Playdough can be used for so many different ways and with all kinds of loose parts. And when it does gets a bit old, one can make shapes, let it harden and paint (will be sharing some more ways to play and learn with playdough in the future).

We were having a relaxing saturday afternoon, playing with the dough and the shapes.
(These shapes are the ones that came with the baby sorter toy.)

First we just made impressions to see what shape makes what impression (very simple, I know, but still so interesting;)

Then she wanted to make cakes, so we made shape-cakes!

And that led to placing the right shape on the right impression.

Talking about the shapes names, colours, size etc. developing some #languageskills.

And we made pictures in the dough also!

It was a relaxing, not too messy, easy and fun but educational activity all together.
