Invitation to Create

This is such an easy activity to set up: just take out some loose items, provide a piece of sticky clear paper(contact paper),dough, plain cards etc and let the creativity flow! #creativeskills

I used some buttons, pompoms, cut up straws, pieces of pipe cleaner, feathers, pieces of fabric and ribbon, cotton buds, bling objects, craft foam shapes. But any item that is light and will stick to the sticky paper will do.

I must say, I enjoyed the activity more than Lella;)
She is still developing the kind of imagination this activity calls for, so you will see some pictures I did, and she did the other, or simply just placed items randomly on the paper, but that is still ok, it is the process that counts.
I stuck the paper to the whiteboard, vertically, we always do things on the table or floor, so this is just nice for a change. If you have more kids, you could use smaller pieces and stick it on the wall or window.

What is nice, is that you can take off the pieces and build again, or change something if they don't want it that way.

She enjoyed the part where she could play with the items in the dough, sticking them in and just playing with it. Her favourite thing nowadays is to make cakes, and sing happy birthday a 1000 times;) Here her imagination was also at play, so mission accomplished! (#finemotorskills are also developed with this activity)

We did not get to decorating the cards yet, and I was thinking you could do other projects with this kind of setup, like decorating an old photo frame or play with these items on a mirror, to see what the effect will be.

*update*

I transformed this old photo frame using some of the loose parts we used in the previous activity.

Try it with your kids, it is such fun!
