Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all the American readers!

Although we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in South Africa, I want to take the opportunity to say what I'm thankful for:

- First and foremost I am thankful for Grace. Undeserved and unearned mercies. If it was not for my Saviour,Jesus, I would not be here today!
- For my family: my hubby who loves me just as I am, and our two blessings: who light up my world!
- I am so thankful for my health, and that of my family. So often one takes health for granted, when you should be thankful for it! The story of Heather is so inspiring. She is a Mesothelioma (cancer) survivor, you can read her story here or connect with her on Facebook
- For my parents: they helped me become the person I am today, with their guidence, love, support and prayer!
- For our country, I am thankful for the mild weather we have here. I've lived in the UK (cannot stand the dreariness), I've been to the USA (although the snow is beautiful, I don't want to wake up seeing white for what,3months?), I visited European countries(interesting places and food, but I love our braais "bbqs"), and came to the conclusion that this is where I want to be! We have freedom of speech, and religion, and our kids can experience wildlife in just a short drive from home!
- For my church: New Beginnings Christian Family Church you rock! Having a great pastors team(also family of ours), getting spritual food week after week, sitting under the anointing of pastor Nicky van der Westhuizen is such a privilage!
- For my home: to have a bed, running water and grass for my kids to play on...
- For the nursery school my daughter is at: they take such good care of her and she loves her school and teachers that I don't feel I need to keep her at home, she is safe and happy!
- For my job: firstly as a mommy, then a blogger and creative teacher. I am thankful that I can arrange my days to fit around my kids, to be able to be at home with them when they are sick, to experience their first steps, words, achievements. Love it!

Today I have a thankful heart!
